We are delighted to invite you a seminar from one of Royal Holloway’s esteemed Academics: Dr Tim Summers.
Dr Tim Summers is a Lecturer in Music at Royal Holloway University of London. He researches music in popular culture, including film, television and most especially video game music. He has written books and journal articles about video game music. He co-founded the Ludomusicology Research Group (www.ludomusicology.org) which was selected for preservation by the US Library of Congress. Dr Summers will deliver an introduction to the Department of Music at Royal Holloway, followed by a sample lecture which will investigate the nature and functions of video game music.
